"Pollen, Arthur Hungerford, The Navy in Battle (London, Chatto & Windus, 1918). American edition : The British Navy in Battle (New York, Doubleday, Page, 1918). Pollen was a well-known naval journalist, and this narrative of the Royal Navy in action (through the Zeebrugge operation of 1918), following introductory chapters on principles of sea power, naval materiel, etc., is of interest as revealing how much, or how little, was known about the principal actions in 1918. Should be used with extreme caution, particularly for Jutland."
