COVER BLURBS

A comic, saucy novel about the sailing navy written by one of its midshipmen. Complete with historical introduction and glossary.

First published in the year of Trafalgar this rollicking yarn was written by a frigate's midshipman and charicactures his supieror officers in action and in love. The only surviving contempory comic work about the Nelsonian navy. Still good fun and now also provides a a valuable first hand picture of naval life and manners of the period.
