The 'Nautilus Library' begun in the 1920s, and built up to more than thirty volumes. A few were given slightly different titles but most were classic nautical works issued in a pocket sized edition by Philip Allan, who owned the copyright to many of the original editions.

At frequent intervals new volumes are added to this popular series that have met with a great and, we may say, well-deserved reception.
The love of the sea and adventure is in the blood of every Englishman, and included in these volumes are true accounts of piracy, smuggling, strange sea mysteries, and the valour and endurance that have played so large a part in making England the great sea power that she now is.

Shackleton's Boat Journey by Commander F. A. Worsley. This is the Nautilus Library edition (number 19) published in 1933 based on the author's 1931 work 'Endurance'. This is one of the scarcest Nautilus books. This and other maritime and naval books for sale at camberpete.co.uk.

Naval Social History section: This covers any period where the subject matter is social history or, as in particular memoirs; there is material relevant to the subject. On occasions other navies are featured, not just the Royal Navy.
 
The Nelson page provides icons, usually adapted from the the covers, as links to books with Admiral Lord Nelson as the subject, a battle in which he played a prominent part or a warship associated with him or if of particular merit, a book that refers particularily to his period.
